Stimulus???

Well it didn't take as long as I thought
it would take. Obama has shown his true
colors long before I thought he would. He
tried to get the Republicans to go along
with his stimulus plan, but it didn't work.
The Republicans for the most part saw through
him and his agenda. he obviously likes
socialism more than democracy. The stimulus
package that he is pushing is nothing more
than government intruding on our private
life. If we go along with this jerks program,
we will regret it for a long time. It will
take a long time to set things right again.
Obama is a very immature individual and he
has shown that several times since he took
office. I hope we will be able to vote him
out in 4 years with little effort and little
long term damage. Socratease8

Gods Changing World

Looking down on the clouds is almost a meditation.
If you look up you see the face of God, if you look
down you see His creation. It is easy to put things
in perspective. From this point of view all the
problems of the world seem so small. When you live
on a round planet it is hard to take sides. Wouldn't
it be great if we could all get along. No wars and
lots of money to explore the Universe (ONE SONG).
When you have lived a long life you can look back
on things that you would do different and forward
to things that you know will be better. Experience
should count for something and maybe we can get
it right the next time through. If reincarnation is
a true story we will just keep doing it till we get
it right. If evolution is the true story then we
will eventually learn to do it right. This picture
is of Florida and I will be landing at Tampa bay
Executive in a few minutes. This airport is no

First flying machine

This is a picture of my first flying machine.
It is an Eagle Ultralight and could leave the
ground at about 20mph. I taught myself to fly
this machine which is not a good idea for most
folks. I had some flying time in a Cessna 150
a few years earlier so I proceeded slowly and
kept it safe although the first time it left
the ground was a surprise. I sold this plane
to a fellow who promptly crashed it on his first
flight. He didn't get hurt but the plane was
totaled. You need to know your limitations.

Last Airplane

This is a picture of the last airplane that I owned. I had a couple partners to cut cost.
This airplane was purely for pleasure. I made a couple
trips to Florida for the airshow at Lakeland. It is a
great way to travel. The view is unbelievable and traffic
is almost nonexistent. I remember one year we saw
traffic backed up for 5 miles or more on I-75.
I was flying IFR (I follow Roads) that time. Now I
know what God meant when he said "Rise Up and Rejoice".
He did say that didn't he? This little airplane could
carry 4 people and many times we would take friends
with us for breakfast or lunch to airports that had
restaurants on site or nearby. Very few of them got
sick and had to use the bag. My wife and I would fly
over central Michigan in the fall to see the fall colors
and sometimes we would fly out over one of the lakes.
Absolutely the best view that could be had. I miss
my little airplane and am looking forward to
buying another one. Socratease8

The Stage

The whole world is a stage, and if you don't take
yourself to seriously you can get a lot of enjoyment
watching the characters on this stage. When Al
Gores movie "Inconvenient Truth" came out a couple
years ago my church decided we needed to see it. So
the church set up the projector to show the movie.
Even tho I have been the Sound Engineer for the last
6 years I refused to take part in this liberal propaganda.
I told folks who asked why, that I would wait and see.
I didn't believe a word AlGore said. It's starting to
look like I was right. We are having one of the coldest
winters on record. The planet may be going into a
mini ice age. The earth has NOT been getting warmer
for the last 10 years. But the global warming folks have
made up their minds and some have even said that
because the earth is cooling just proves that the
earth is getting hotter faster. Go figure. I am ready to
be proved wrong cause I like the warmth a lot better
than the cold. That's one of the reasons I moved to the
south.
It was great to see that skill in doing your job is still
appreciated. That pilot that landed that large jet in
the Hudson river is an example of someone who takes
pride in doing a good job. I noticed he was old enough
to have acquired great skill. It won't be long though
before the airline asks him to retire. They'll say he is
too old to fly passengers. Ask the 155 people who
survived that water landing if he is getting too old.
The airlines might let him fly freight. If I ever fly
commercial again, I want him as my pilot. Socratease8

Serenity

I have added a couple new pictures and video
to my Blog. The video is of a creek that
runs across my property. It is a place where
I go if I need to do some serious thinking.
The picture is of the small airplane that
I spent many hours building. I sold it to a
fellow in Michigan who finished building it
and got it flying. In the air is also a great
place to do some serious thinking. I will
admit that most of the thinking while in the
air is where in #@*&@ am I going to land this
hummer if the engine quits. ALWAYS have a
spot within glide range to land. I have been
in an airplane that ran out of gas because
of a leak. We made it to the airport which
was 4 miles away because of altitude
maintenance and great flying skill. I like
to do the unexpected in my life because I
might not get another chance. When I take
my last breath I would like to look back
and say WOW what a ride. I will not be sorry
for the days that I didn't go to work and
the things that I didn't do . Socratease8

IT'S A NEW YEAR

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
I don't usually do New Years resolutions but
this year I will make an exception. I want to
lose about 30lbs as soon as possible and
for sure get rich. I'm not asking much, but I
will keep positive thoughts about it.

This year I would like to hear "Green" and
"Carbon Footprint" a lot less. These are little
phrases that mean give me your money. If
The government can make us feel guilty
about these two words then they can lift
our wallets a lot easier. I don't do guilt
anymore. I now avoid shopping at places
that say they are green. I know it's going
to cost more. I heard one guy say that
every time he hears the word "Carbon
Footprint" he wants to go out and burn
a tire. I feel almost the same way.

This year I will probably continue to point
out the fallacy of man made Global
Warming. I would hate to freeze to death
while I waited on global warming. But I
will try to do it in a nice way, until it is
time to not be nice. Socratease8
