Herd Mentality

I have often wondered what it is in the human
animal that requires them to run in herds. This
herd mentality was never more evident than
this Black Friday in Valley Stream on Long
Island in New York. A worker in the Wal-Mart
store was crushed to death by the herd as
they rushed into the store to save a few bucks
on items that the store had on sell. I have
never been able to understand people who will
camp out in the cold for several hours just
to be the first into the store and maybe have
a chance to beat someone else to an item to
save a few bucks.

This mentality was also evident during the
presidential election. Lots of folks wanted to
be on the band wagon to vote for the first
black candidate even tho he was vastly lacking
in qualifications for that office. We may pay a
dear price for electing Obama. We may also get
lucky and get through his administration with
minimal damage. He might even do OK. He has
forgotten about the change that he promised.
We've got a bunch of tired ol democrats who
will be advising him so there won't be much
change. I hope I'm wrong on this. Time will
tell. Socratease8.

Obama and Change--Climate Change

It's starting to look like Obama is going to
serve Bill Clinton's third term. I had really hoped
he meant it when he said he was going to change
Washington but I should have known better. He
lied to us about campaign finance and about his
association with Bill Ayers and others. It looks
like his cabinet will be a bunch of old democrats
and Bill Clinton has beens. Most will be Washington
insiders. I lost a lot of money during Clintons
last couple of years in office. One of my pension
funds dropped over $100,000 in less than a year.
That was a real bummer.

Obama seems to believe in the climate change scam.
This will give him a chance to raise our taxes
to cover our carbon footprint. We will have to
pay a carbon tax in order to barbecue hamburgers
and such on our grills. That is already being
done in some country's. He may try to take our
guns so we have no protection. There is a lot
of other things about Obama that I don't like.
I hope I am wrong about these things. Socratease8

Global WARMING

The Global Warming Alarmist are at it again.
This last October was suppose to be the warmest
ever. Not a true story. The facts got in the way of
a good story again. This October was number 70
in the last 114 years as the hottest October. Dang
those facts. The Arctic Sea ice is 30% ahead of
last year in re-freezing. Dang those facts again.
Al Gore is not a hero. He is an alarmist with an
agenda. He is also not a really smart man in my
opinion.

Here is a site to read what is the truth if you are
interested.

Post Election

I'm glad this election is over. I hope this is
the last election for McCain. The only good that
came out of this election is we got to meet
Sarah Palin. I hope she runs for president in
2012. By then we should be tired of Obama.

McCain's staff and maybe even McCain himself
are trying to trash Sarah and blame her for
their loss. I'm not buying it. McCain may be
the worse candidate that I have ever seen. I
didn't like him from the start. I like him
even less now. We need to get behind Obama
now and try to help him be a good President.
That's a tuff order. Socratease8

Voting??

I arrived at my polling place this morning
at 8AM and was told that the polls did not
open till 9AM. This county is run by democrats
so I should have known better. Anyway to
discourage real Americans from voting. Look
how hard the democrats are making it for our
soldiers to vote. McCain has a law suit going
to allow the soldiers to vote. I hope it works.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had a country where
every vote counted and every vote was legit.
No dead people or illegals voting. If Obama
wins this election, it's going to get a lot
harder for legal Americans to vote. Socratease8

Election

One day away from the election and I still
don't have a clue who will win. As I have
said before I am not crazy for John McCain
but he is a lot better than Obama. I believe
that Obama will take the words of John F
Kennedy and reverse them to "Ask not what
you can do for your country but what your
country can do for you." He will try to spread
the wealth. It won't work but he will try it
anyway.

Obama is a slick talker and as Rush Limbaugh
has said "this guy can say nothing better than
anyone I have ever heard say nothing". He is
afraid to take responsibility for anything and
will vote "present" rather than vote the way
that he really feels. It is a shame that he will
represent the Black folks when there are
many who could do a much better job. He
will set the standard for his race and it will
take a long time to overcome the damage
that he will do to his race. Socratease8
