A short Walk

These are some of the folks I meet on my walk
in the neighborhood. You will need to expand
the picture to see them














If you look closely you can see two Japanese
beetles making little Japanese beetles.















It is really interesting the different configurations
that the mushrooms have taken this year. May be the
extra rain that we have had this year.














More mushrooms. It has been a wet summer
this year. It's good for some things and
not so good for others. Either way, we like
it.














Grand niece looking cute as usual. Our
little creek has been flowing great this
year.














This is a large geode stone from
Kentucky that is at the entrance to
our labyrinth. This geode is about
12' by 12" in size.















This is a fairly large Petoskey stone from
the state of Michigan. If you look close
you can see the sea creatures in the stone.
This stone is about 6" long.














This is another example of the growth of
the mushrooms this year. Nature is an amazing
thing.

Neighborhood Walk

This tree with the bent trunk is
considered a meeting place for the
local Native Americans. We have a
Cherokee friend who told us that
these trees are bent while they are
still small and become a gathering
place for all the Native American
people where there will be peace.
This tree isn't far from our home
There are others in this area.














The Honeysuckle had a sweet smell
today. There is a lot of it in our
neighborhood. I have transplanted
some next to the deck of our home.














This is a treat that I always look
forward to. The wild Blackberries
are ripe and sweet. I usually stop
for a few berries on my walk. The
wild blueberries are almost gone
so these berries got here just in
time.














At the top of this little hill is
a Baptist church. It is about one
quarter mile from our home. I pass
it everyday on my walk. From our
house to the end of the neighborhood
and back home again is one mile. It
is uphill both ways! I try to walk
it twice a day.














This lake is about 200 yards from
our home and is a great place to
walk to for some peace and quite.
It is the water supply for our
little town.














While standing on the bank of the
lake I saw what looked like a
cross in the water. I looked up
at the clouds and spotted what
caused the reflection of the cross
Use your imagination and look at
the blue sky through the clouds.
It almost forms a cross.

D minor NA style flute

This is the latest flute that I built.
It is for a friend at church. It is a
D minor NA style flute made from
eastern red cedar. The bottom picture
is a video that don't move. It plays
Amazing Grace.

Thinking

This post will be about the art of
thinking when I get organized. It
has been a while since I posted. I
had to stop and think how to add the
words to these pictures. I'm open
to suggestions as to what the monkey
is thinking while looking at the skull
of a man. Which came first the monkey
or the man?

Check back soon, I may add to this post
often. There is a lot to talk about.

Come on guys and gals!! This topic should
incite a lot of comments. Lets have some
fun and solve the question of evolution
or creation. Sit down tonight and think
back to the beginning of time..before
there was anything. What do you see???

Before time began there was Nothing
(NO-Thing). So somehow all this stuff
came into being. According to the
the evolutionist we had a large bang
from NOTHING. Then all this stuff evolved.
Amazing. I think I would rather believe
in a CREATOR. But what came before HIM/HER?

Mothers Day

This is a practice video and the photographers
finger slipped off the video button. The piano
player ask me to sing this song. It was her
mothers favorite song and she wanted to do
it for Mothers Day. Might have been better
with a proper ending. O well stuff happens.
I ended up singing this song an octave lower,
which was an accident. Hard to reach those
lower notes. Socratease8

Spring on the Mountain

This picture is the Dogwood at the beginning
of my path to the labyrinth













This is the same dogwood from a different
view with the corner of my garden.














This is a view of my neighborhood. We are
at the end of the road and don't get a lot of
traffic. It is very peaceful and serene.














This is a shot from our front porch. If you
blow up the picture and look really close at
our weather stick on the corner post about
half way up you can see a hummingbird
resting. Also visible are the little white clouds
that we call dogwoods.













This is GG(Garfield Girl) taking a nap after
a hard days hunt.
